Election Day Voter Registration Ballot Measure
It is time to get out the clipboards, fast. There is an important ballot measure for 2026 sponsored by the Massachusetts Secretary of the Commonwealth, Bill Galvin. The ballot measure is for Election Day Voter Registration (EDR) -- learn more by following the link below.
This campaign needs democracy heroes like you ASAP to collect 12,000 more signatures and submit them by the end of the first week in June. The petition papers are now available and early progress is essential.

Voter Choice Massachusetts supports EDR
Massachusetts made big strides on voter access with the passage of Automatic Voter Registration in 2018. However, a significant number of voters are still slipping between the cracks -- especially non-homeowners. These voters are disproportionately younger or have lower incomes.
If you are moving regularly, especially if you don't drive, it's easy for election day to roll around, and only then you realize you are not registered to vote at your new address. EDR takes care of these voters -- so they still have the choice to vote and don't lose their voice in a critical election.
Expand and protect democracy with EDR
We are living in an age of brazen underhanded maneuvers in politics right now, whether its demolishing the Voting Rights Act, gerrymandering, or trampling the public will with ever larger mountains of dark money and misinformation.
In this moment, resistance and reform are essential, and critical voting access laws like Election Day Voter Registration are table-stakes for our survival as a united, self-governing people.
