Frequent protests, rallies, and marches are critical tactics for fighting back, but they need trained peacekeepers to stay safe and effective. Peacekeepers direct traffic, de-escalate conflicts with counter-protesters, and help actions succeed. There’s an urgent need for more trained volunteers.
Join experienced peacekeeper Elaine Almquist for this one-hour virtual training covering: commitment to non-violence, peacekeeping purpose and positioning, safety planning, de-escalation techniques, and how peacekeeping differs from other roles. Multiple roles are available for trained volunteers.
