Artpeacemakers welcome you to the Nonviolence Direct Action Training for Protest and Protection event! Join us at the First Congregational Church for an experience of learning and empowerment. This practical training will equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to peacefully protest and protect yourself and others. Whether you're a seasoned activist or new to the movement, this event is open to all who are passionate about creating positive change. Don't miss this opportunity to practice and prepare in community. Artpeacemakers welcomes back long-time social activist, community organizer, educator Cathy Hoffman to lead us in practices of role-playing, providing us with important information that will prepare us to responsibly participate in protest and direct action work. Workshop is free with a suggested donation of $10-25 at the door. Give what you can, if you can. Bring your own water-bottle, dress comfortably. We will provide a light snack. Limit 50 participants.
