EVENT - Indivisible Mass Coalition (IMC) Blue State Convening for Indivisibles & Allies in MA
A message from our district rep's sub to the statewide organization Indivisible Mass Coalition (IMC):
"IMC is hosting its yearly gathering of Indivisibles on May 4. I have attended every one of these gatherings and can tell you how special it is to be in the same room with so many other Indivisible group leaders and members. We have shared our thoughts, worries, and best practices - and made many friends. We also have heard from the best minds in activism - including Leah and Ezra. I know that there are many new members (thank you!) so I want to let you know how meaningful and helpful this yearly convening can be. You are part of a large community of like-minded and determined activists and by coming together we can support and learn from one another and forge a network across the state. We are really going to need this community in the coming months.
This year's gathering is extremely urgent as we are watching democracy slip through our hands. The topic of this meeting is to learn essential skills for building a resilient community and a movement that is equipped to fight fascism and defend democracy. This follows up on the discussion some Indivisibles had with Leah Greenberg over Patriots' Day weekend where she was a guest...and was very clear about the dangers we face.
This event is free and is approaching quickly: Sunday, May 4th, 11-5 PM at the AC Hotel in Worcester! You will meet leaders from National Indivisible, tyranny and fascism experts, resistance scholars, legal experts and others. Food and light refreshments will be served all with a healthy dash of activism!
RSVPs are down, most likely due to all the other activities, so please consider joining and be sure to invite your group members! Details and sign up HERE. Registration is open until midnight May 2.
Every year IMC has gathered Indivisibles from across the state in Worcester for a statewide convening, but this year may be the most important yet. Don't miss it!"
